I am trying to get a Steam Session Ticket to authenticate the user with...Im using the following to get that in a UE4 c++ method:
FString SessionTicket = OnlineInterface->GetIdentityInterface()->GetAuthToken(0);
When playing in Standalone mode, this all works fine, I am able to get the ticket and auth. However, when I package a build and try, it gives me this error:
not authenticated invalid parameter
I have the steam_appid.txt file in the top level next to my exe file, but it doesnt seem to want to work.
Any ideas what I may be doing wrong? I can see the steamworks sdk files in the build also...
From my limited knowledge I'd say your game is losing that connection to Steam. Are you launching it through steam? Do you get the steam overlay when you launch it?
I think you'd get a better answer from the Unreal forums.
