GS Settings File Calls the "Credential Secret" an "API Secret"

The wording of this is super confusing, even after being with GS for a long time:
This should be called "Credential Secret", as the API secret is static and doesn't change:
I was going a bit crazy wondering why GS wouldn't initialize with my new credential. Well, I already had the API secret inside -- it doesn't change. That's when I tried the credential secret and it finally worked. Fixing the wording of this would help both newbies and veterans, alike.
For example, if I change the default credential, I'll put the credential secret in the API (it just so happens that the default credential secret is also the api secret).
Perhaps if credential == "device", then rename to API secret. If !== device, rename it "credential secret"?
