I'm currently working on a project that has some similar design ideas as Draft Kings. I currently have a backend built around PHP and net calls, but I require storage of user data including tournament information.
There is no real-time connection between players required, as they would request data from the server/database, thus the project overall is UI centred.
Would it be the correct assumption that GameSparks maybe not directed for games like mine and that the current setup I do have is appropriate, or have I misunderstood what GameSparks is directed for, and is in fact suited for such a project?
Unity is my current front end.
I don't see any reason why you couldn't build a game like this on GameSparks. All of the out of the box features should help get you going and you can supplement these by adding your own custom events and Cloud Code scripts to handle any scenarios that are unique to your game. If you have any further questions just let us know.
