Is Spark.loadPlayer() treated as active user?

Hi

Recently I added some sanitisation script which includes  Spark.loadPlayer(somePlayerId).

Then I found DAU on that day increased dramatically.

Just wanna be sure if Spark.loadPlayer() is treated as active user?

Thanks,

Jo

Hi Jo,

Yes if you are loading a player to perform some actions on that players behalf then it will contribute to the count.

Hi Liam,

Thanks for reply.

However, this behaviour causes the periodically sanitisation script affects actual active user statistics.

What I wanna do is reading some value in player's scriptData.

Anyway to avoid this?

Jo

Hi Jo,

To avoid this you could store the same data in a runtime collection and query it there by the target playerId rather that using Spark.loadPlayer(). Does that sound like it might work for you ?

Thanks,

Hi Liam

Thanks for advisement.

It sounds ok but need to modify a lot of scripts.

If it's the only way, then I'll try it.

Jo
