Collection size limit

Right now, we plan to store all our "game collections" into a collection as records of when a player collected something.

Then we need to check for each week who got what, and make a ranking out of it.

So as this grows, the collection will only grow in size, making the filtering and searching more slow every day.

Is there a technical document I can look into to see collection's size limit and considerations ? It may help us provide a better solution to this problem.

Hi Omar,

Our system limits can be found here.

Generally where our collections are concerned we impose the same limits as MongoDB does. Where we do take exception is in how queries are processed. Large queries that iterate through documents are generally discouraged, though we offer the ability to create indexes on fields in your collections (this has it's own concerns of course).

If we find that your queries or process' are so inefficient that it is affecting our services, we will get in touch directly with you to suggest an alternative solution.
