When does a Daily Active User become a Monthly Active User? After 2 days of use, 15 days or the entire month?
Thanks,
Shawn

Hi Shawn,
Not really. Consider if you had very high retention and engagement and the same 1000 players played your game every day. This would equate to 1000 DAUs and 1000 MAUs BUT 30,000 aggregate DAUs over 30 days.
Of course not many games reach this level of engagement sadly. Typically, we see MAUs being about 10 times DAUs. So a game with 1M MAUs has about 100,000 DAUs (or 3M aggregate DAUs).
Each unique user that plays per day will add to the DAU total, these users will also be in the MAU total at the end of the month. A single user doesn't have to play for X amount of days to be added to the MAU total. So in a month if you had one unique user each day, you would end up with an MAU total of 30.
Thanks,
Liam

Ok so on this page: http://www.gamesparks.com/pricing/
It mentions 10,000 aggregate DAU over 30 days and 100,000 MAU as if they are different things but aren't aggregate DAU over 30 days the same thing as MAU?
Thanks,
Shawn

No because DAU can have repeats each day for the same player. So one player playing once a day would be 30 DAU and 1 MAU. If you had the exact same set of 10K players playing each day, you'd get 300K DAU and 10K MAU, a 30x ratio, but that's not likely to happen (players don't play every day, player churn, etc.) and gamesparks uses a rule-of-thumb of 10x DAU to MAU which obviously is just an estimate since it can vary a lot per game.
At least that's how I understand it.
